Gold offset ink and Silver offset ink

Application:

Si-Lian brand gold and silver offset inks are suitable for offset press. Printing substrate is mainly paper. They are also suitable for gold or silver printing on letterpress and thin letterpress paper.

Characteristics:

Si-Lian brand Gold and Silver offset inks are characterized as follows:

1)   Fast setting and good adhesion;

2)   Good printability: flat and even for solid printing, clear and clean for lines and dots. The print has high metallic gloss.

3)   Good endurance can meet the requirements of the customers.

4)   Electrochemical aluminum foil can be thermoprinted on the finished print.

Usage and instructions:

1.    for printing of gold ink and silver ink the drier must be added. For gold ink if you use Silian Brand drier of 402 cobalt drier or 2527 mixed drier, the addition quantity is about 1%, for silver ink, you need use more 402 cobalt drier with addition quantity of 1.5 %, and also you need some #78 paste dryer (contains lead) with 1%.

2.    in normal condition you can use the gold and silver ink directly on the press, but for spot color printing you should add some 05-94 tinting medium to improve the ink-transfer property with the addition quantity of less than 5%;

3.    because the gold and silver pigment in the ink will react with the acid to reduce the gloss of the prints, so please adjust the fountain water for gold and silver ink printing with weaker acidity.

4.    also because of the gold and silver pigment the ink cannot be stored for longer time, otherwise the color will fade.

5.    the effect of gold and silver ink will be influenced by the printing condition such as season, temperature or paper. So please make sufficient tests to confirm it.
